On 30 September, Serve the City launched the new academic year with a reception at our “headquarters” EPEE, a children centre in the Marolles district of Brussels. Our main aim for the evening was to pay tribute to our unsung heroes, the leaders of ASBLs (not-for-profit organizations) who work on a daily basis with those most in need in our city.
These partners run organizations serving the homeless, children in need, asylum seekers, the elderly, the disabled and victims of abuse. Over delicious snacks and drinks, our different partners were presented to each other and encouraged to discuss possible future collaboration on projects. Everyone agreed that the evening was very enjoyable and worthwhile. Many thanks to all our partners – ASBLs, local churches, companies, and individuals for your ongoing support. We look forward to serving with you in the coming year!
