Serve the City brings people together to bring community in many different ways: visiting care homes, cooking meals for our neighbours, teaching languages to those who have not learnt them…
Some people give their time and energy directly in our project, and others support us in the behind-the-scenes to make our work and the work of our volunteers possible. Donors are there to build community too, by giving their time and effort in the form of financial support.
What do I support by becoming a monthly donor?
Serve the City mobilises, enables and manages volunteers to support people facing vulnerability, isolation and social exclusion across Belgium. We bring people together not only to help but to create communities where people feel seen, valued, and connected.
Social exclusion is growing but belonging can change everything. We create spaces where people move from isolation to connection, and from receiving help to being part of something meaningful.

Serve the City is a non-profit organisation recognised by the Belgian government. So, if you pay taxes in Belgium, you are eligible for a tax deduction of 30% of your donations during the fiscal year.
In other words, if you donate €120 over a year, you get back €36 in taxes.
Meaning it only really costs you €84!
