“How many loads is that so far?” Cory asks his International School of Brussels students. “12!” a teenager shouts back over his shoulder, as he guides a wheelbarrow heaped with leaves down the slick garden paths of Home St. Joseph-Little Sisters of the Poor. Cory volunteers with Serve the City every month. Today, he’s happy to sweep leaves in the garden because he doesn’t have an opportunity to do yard work at home. “Gardening is relaxing, it’s therapeutic,” he adds.
