We are serving with Serve the City at FEDASIL because we enjoy learning about people’s backgrounds and giving them something fun to do. The people there are very open, which is nice because when we have served at other locations people sometimes prefer to keep to themselves. The children are fun to interact with and it is interesting to learn where everyone is from as Brussels has people from so many diverse backgrounds. We get to learn about people’s cultures and backgrounds, which can be an eye-opening experiences.
