On June 6, our Big Volunteer Day will not be like a usual Big Volunteer Day. But it does not mean that kindness has to stop. Serve the City volunteers will go to Quai des Péniches to distribute lunch bags to migrants as well as hand sanitiser and masks.
Quai des Péniches is the location where our Breakfast4Refugees project is currently taking place due to the crisis we are going through. Every day, 300 to 400 migrants go there to receive a meal, a coffee, and more. Serve the City is one of the many organisations who try to help and give hope to the people we serve there.
We know many of you want to volunteer but the current situation makes it impossible. But this is a way to get involve and help!
How does it work?
- Register below before June 4th at 2pm, and indicate the number of bags you will prepare, and/or if you will bring masks or hand sanitiser.
- Prepare the items according to the list.
- On Saturday June 6 between 10:00 and 11:00 am, bring the lunch bags, masks, hand sanitiser to our office. If you are by car, open your trunk, we will pick them up ourselves and you do not even have to leave your car.
- We will then with some volunteers and while strictly respecting the social distancing measures distribute everything to the migrants at Quai des Péniches.
