Cross the Line

We are all familiar with areas of the city that we just don’t go to. These are areas that we consider to be dirty, dangerous, or frequented by ‘undesirable’ types of people… These invisible lines in our cities reflect the social and ethnic inequalities, separating the rich from the poor, the privileged from the underprivileged

As long as we don’t cross these lines either way, the gaps between communities grow bigger. Spatial segregation can lead to prejudice, misunderstanding and sometimes even social unrest. What if you were to consider that the people living in these areas are people with the same needs and emotions as you?

Think about the areas that you know.  Where are the lines in your city?

Serve the City builds communities of volunteers who cross the line!

We accompany volunteers on projects that aim to erase these lines, to create communities that get to know and help each other. At Serve the City we believe that many people doing small things together can make a big difference.

Are you prepared to cross the line in your city alongside other volunteers to help make a difference?
