Big Volunteer Week
What is BVW?

From 1 July – 8 July, hundreds of volunteers from all around the world will join us to serve people in need in Brussels. We will organise opportunities to serve alongside local social-profit associations who are serving the needs of people who are:

  • Homeless
  • Asylum Seekers
  • Elderly
  • Disabled
  • Children in need
  • Victims of abuse
The types of project we have

You Look Marvelous

Makeup and manicures, haircuts and massage, a sensitive and caring touch to help restore beauty and trust.

Serving food and friendship to the hungry and hurting.

Painting, cleaning, gardening, simple carpentry and construction projects, and other hands-on tasks that help our social-profit partners be at their best.

Arts & Crafts

Anything and everything from photography to dance to music to crafts.

Game On

Sports like football, basketball, cycling, bowling, running and anything else we can imagine!

Games, outings, walks, and any other activities that connect people, break down barriers, and facilitate friendship.

We will be serving all around Brussels, but our main projects will take place in these neighborhoods:

  • Marolles
  • Ixelles
  • Woluwe
  • Schaerbeek
  • Ste. Catherine
  • Laeken
  • Anderlecht
Who can participate?

Individuals, school groups, scout groups, churches, companies, local and visiting volunteers – everyone who is looking for an opportunity to help someone in need, meet new people and make new friends. Children under 18 need approval from/to be accompanied by a legal guardian. If you are a company, please visit our Team Building & CSR page.

Many people doing small things together can make a big difference.
